Level 1 Stained Glass Nightlight Class
This is a two week class that takes place on Saturday January 18th from 1:30-3pm and Saturday January 25th from 1:30-5pm at our studio located at 2131 East Michigan Street. This class is perfect for first timers or if you’ve taken one of our classes in the past and would like to build on the skills you’ve learned! Day 1 of this class will be spent discussing how to design stained glass patterns followed by participants sketching their own pattern on paper. You are more than welcome to come with inspo pictures but directly copying other artists’ work is not allowed. (See pictures for examples of nightlights I have made) I will then digitize your patterns before week 2 of the class where we will actually make our nightlights. Day 2 will cover all the steps of stained glass, including choosing your glass, cutting and grinding your glass, foiling your pieces, and soldering your piece together & to your nightlight base. This is a two week class and you are expected to come to both days.
Participants must be 18 or older to register for this class. There will be no refunds for cancellation but a 50% credit will be given towards a future class if 24+ hours notice is given. If an emergency arises preventing you from taking the class, please notify me via email and we will work something out.
